Questions clean-company sellers ask
Is selling a registered NDIS company still allowed?
Yes. The NDIS Commission publishes an official guide, Buying or selling a registered NDIS business, which covers exactly this. In short: the Commission must be notified of the change of ownership as soon as possible, it assesses whether the new owners and staff are suitable, and a business delivering high-risk or complex supports must complete an audit within 3 months of the change (requirements current from 1 July 2026). The registration is linked to the company's ABN and cannot be moved to a different ABN — which is why buyers purchase the registered entity itself.
How long does it take to sell?
It varies. Clean companies with in-demand registration groups and time left on their certificate move fastest, because the buyer is purchasing the months they'd otherwise spend in the registration queue. Your listing stays live until it sells — there's no expiry and no re-listing fee.
Why $690 when Gumtree and Facebook are free?
Because the buyers are different. General classifieds bring tyre-kickers and no NDA process. Everyone browsing this platform is specifically looking for an NDIS business, and enquiries come to you with a name and contact details attached.
Do I have to deregister, or does the buyer take it over?
